Research Proposal Clearance
All research proposals must undergo departmental review and receive formal administrative approval before fieldwork or external submission.
- Drafting: Complete your proposal using the official UNILIA Proposal template.
- Departmental Review: Submit draft to your Faculty Research Coordinator.
- Ethics Review: Forward approved proposals to the Unilia REC for ethical clearance.
- Registration: Register the cleared proposal in the directorate's database.
Ethics & SOP Guidelines
The Unilia Research Ethics Committee (REC) implements Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the safety, privacy, and dignity of participants.
- Submit complete application documents (protocol, tools, consent forms).
- Expect feedback within 14 working days from submission.
- Obtain MTA (Material Transfer Agreements) for trans-border bio-samples.
- Report adverse events or protocol deviations immediately to the secretariat.
